Log in to WordPress
Sign in to your WordPress dashboard. If you need a reminder, see our guide on how to log in to WordPress.Go to Posts and Click "Add New"
In the menu on the left, click "Posts", then click the "Add New" button at the top of the screen. A blank post will open in the editor.Write Your Title and Content
Type your headline in the title area at the top, then click below it and start writing. Keep paragraphs short and write the way you would speak to a customer. Press Enter to start a new block for each paragraph.Add Images
Click the "+" button in the editor and choose "Image" to add a photo anywhere in your post. You can upload a new image or pick one from your Media Library. Prepare your photos first using our guide on preparing images before uploading.Choose a Category
In the panel on the right, open "Categories" and tick the one that best fits your post, for example "News" or "Tips". Categories help visitors find related posts later.Set a Featured Image
In the same panel on the right, click "Set featured image" and choose a photo. This is the image that appears at the top of your post and on your blog listing page, so pick a good one.Preview and Publish
Click "Preview" to check how the post looks, then click the blue "Publish" button when you are ready. WordPress will ask you to confirm, and once you do, your post is live for the world to read.
You need to know:
Not ready to publish yet? Click "Save draft" instead and your post will wait safely until you come back to it. Regular posts are great for your visitors and for Google, so even one short post a month is worth doing.
