A warm, easy-to-use website for the Boston branch of Comhaltas Ceoltóirí Éireann, bringing its music school, events calendar, memberships and donations together in one place.
The brief
Give a busy branch one clear home online
Comhaltas Boston is the Greater Boston branch of Comhaltas Ceoltóirí Éireann, the worldwide movement for Irish traditional music, song, dance and language. The Reynolds-Hanafin-Cooley branch runs a music school, weekly dance workshops, séisiúns, a céilí band and special events all year round.
A branch like this has a lot to say and little time to say it. The website had to explain what the branch does, make the events calendar easy to trust, and give people simple ways to join, register for classes and donate, whether they are on a laptop or a phone.

A calm green design with real photographs of the players and a clear invitation to join, so newcomers understand the branch within seconds.

A month-by-month calendar of dance workshops, séisiúns and special events such as the branch's 50th anniversary celebration, with add to calendar links for each one.

A dedicated section for the CCÉ Boston Music School with its history, faculty and press, and a page to register for classes.
Memberships, donations and instrument rentals
Clear pages for joining the branch, making a donation and renting an instrument, all reachable from the main menu and the Join Today and Donate buttons.

Set dancing, dance workshops, the céilí band, séisiúns and scholarships each get a clear place, written for people who are new to Irish music.

A news area, an email list and a photo gallery keep members and friends in touch between events.
